I, for some reason, have completely different opinions on these Mandala books than all of the previous reviewers. The book is HUGE, designs are on both sides and quite a few are so extremely detailed with teeny, tiny areas. Looking through the first book, and getting a good as possible look of the extremely, overly, detailed designs, came to the conclusion that the only possible way a person could put color into the teeny, tiny details, would be to use a sharpened toothpick dipped into ink!!! None of the books in this series are in any way, going to help me de-stress. If I were to make an attempt to try to start coloring one of these Mandalas, I would become so stressed out that I might actually consider completely giving up my coloring hobby. I'm sure it will end up costing me about the same exact amount of $$$ to try to send these back to the seller, so I guess they will sit in a box for my kids to sort through when I die, completely lacking any color inside on the pages. Never have been so totally disappointed in any other coloring book that I've purchased.Product details

I love this coloring book. It is large, about 12" X 12". It is quite a bit larger than your average coloring book. The paper is thick and of good quality. I tried pencils, gel pens and fine liners and had no bleed through at all.
The art is lovely and ranges from somewhat simplistic to quite advanced and detailed. There is a lot to choose from and I had a lot of fun going through the book.
The only drawback at all, is that the pictures are printed on both sides of the pages. This wasn't too much of a problem in my opinion as the paper is do nice and thick that I didn't experience and bleed through.
This is a great book with a lot to chose from. I would absolutely recommend this book to my friends who like to color.
By far the best colouring book I have purchased and I have purchased a lot!!
The pages are double sided but the paper is so thick and lovely that even marker pens don't bleed through.
The patterns are large enough to fill the page and there is a good range from super fine detail to more basic ones.
I truly love this book and am thinking of buying another copy as all of my other mandala books have been a disappointment after this one.
Love, Love, Love these coloring books. They brought back many fond childhood memories I have of my mom drawing squiggly designs on notebook paper so I could color in the shapes in a bright array of colors.
My daughter had a couple of the American Girl books with coloring activities similar to the ones found in these books and we would spend hours creating our masterpieces. She was just as excited to find these in the mailbox as I was.
We decided the best way to review these books was to dive right in and get creative. We choose to use markers, however the pages are thick enough so you could use paint and colored pencils would also work beautifully.
We played a little switcheroo and I selected a page from the Mandala Book while my daughter chose one from the Book for Adults. She immediately selected a picture I'm certain had to do with the present popularity of mustaches. I picked mandala one, which is still a work in progress, but I wanted to get my review posted.
I found the time spent coloring as a sort of release from the day's stresses. It was peaceful and relaxing, plus I got to spend quiet time with my daughter as we let are "artistic" sides shine.
There are numerous books available in The One and Only
Colouring Series so you're certain to find one that you'll enjoy just as much as we did.
I highly recommend checking out this series.

This book is not what I was expecting. I have bought a half dozen assorted mandala books since I got into colouring and this is not typical. It is large, and EXTREMELY detailed, like keep-your-pencil-sharpener-in-your-hand detailed. Many spaces are smaller than a grain of rice! Myself I really like that because they say the meditation-like benefits of colouring are due to the precise hand movements, and the way the eyes & mind have to focus, so for that purpose, the smaller the details the better! I'm not sure I'm happy about it being oversized, that makes it harder to keep a page on a clipboard in my bag and things like that. But this can be my desk book I guess. The pics are gorgeous and, what's rare in my experience with colouring books, they have a variety of personalities. I'm sure it will take me a long time to get through this whole book but it will be much enjoyed.
